Fun projects...

We have been busy today. This morning we went to the farmers market(http://www.matthewsfarmersmarket.com/) and then to Renfrow's - a 100 year old hardware store in downtown Matthews. Henry built a compost pile, hung a hanger for our laundry corner of the porch and moved some brush. I added a frame around the mirror in the bathroom and worked on some paperwork. It sometimes seems hard to get things done because it is so easy to get sidetracked by other projects that need to get done. It is hard work, but a lot of fun.

Here is Henry's compost pile.

And this is the frame I made around the mirror. I still have to paint over the screws.

This is the guest room. I am going to paint the bed blue.

And...our laundry/bike porch.

This is me sampling some of Henry's homemade applesauce made with apples from the two apple trees in our front yard.

Peace! Emily and Henry

Great photos and a great way to keep
up with your doings. Love what you have done so far. Can't wait to see it in person. We got the bed topper
on the bed along with a super new
mattress pad, so it is comfy sleeping.
Keep up the good work.
Maybe I need to get into blogging-
Love,
Yaya

Henry-
Forgot to congratulate you on the compost pile. As I expected, my
freezer is overflowing with compost.
I'm really missing you taking care of that for me. Em, you are pretty
crafty, too, with the mirror. Looks
great!

Oh, and I forgot to mention this earlier - I see you're "friends" (at least on facebook) with my friend from high school, Kendra! I guess you went to seminary together? What a small world...You know she blogs, too, right? I am constantly amazed by what she is doing and how it seems like she is fitting perfectly into where her life has taken her. Neat, neat person.

You guys are really getting things done! Way to go! Love the chipper and compost. Wash/Dry fit in well. Hey, the bikes are still where I put them! I'll put them in the attic when I get there.. hah!
The kids loved the apples!
