And the projects continue...

So...funny story. Several of our neighbors said that if we were going to have a garden, we also needed to have a way to collect rain water. Apparently, it is common for there to be certain restrictions on watering your lawn and garden here in North Carolina. So...Henry was in the market for some rain barrels. Lowes and Home Depot sell them for $80-$120 (each) which we were not thrilled about. Henry found a guy selling 55 gallon barrels on Craigslist for $25 each and decided to turn one into a rain collection barrel himself. When he arrived to purchase them, he thought he was only going to get one and then decided to get two and was $10 short. So...he went to a gas station close by to see if he could get some cash back. The man politely told him they did not offer cash back, but did mention he had several gallons of sweet relish he was trying to get rid of and told Henry he was welcome to one if he wanted it. So here we have...Henry and the FREE gallon of pickle relish:

And here I am with one of our rain barrels. We are expecting a lot of rain in the next two days! The total price ended up being $67 for TWO rain barrels....so cool!

And finally... a homemade bird feeder.

Peace! Henry and Emily

You two are so crafty and eco-friendly! Wish I was so creative with things like that! Love the rain barrel idea, too!
